Who we are
SalesBotix is the international sales team for advanced technology manufacturers. We represent U.S. and European manufacturers in Latin America, build distribution channels, develop tender opportunities, and close contracts. Our work spans fire and rescue PPE, ballistic protection, tactical equipment, drones, and robotics.
We are a small team supported by a daily opportunity-development engine, a CRM built around how we work, and partner operations that keep manufacturers informed and distributors moving. Our work has generated seven-figure product sales in Latin America.
The role
This is a carry-a-number, own-the-territory role. You take manufacturers we already represent, plus the ones we're signing now, and turn them into booked revenue in Latin America. You'll work the distributor channel, the end users (fire departments, police, military, industrial safety buyers), and the public tenders — in Spanish, with the people who make the decisions.
You will not be handed a script or a cold list. You will be handed live pipeline, a daily feed of qualified opportunities, a partner-operations lead who handles proposals and paperwork, and founders who are still in the field with you. What we need from you is someone who has sold to public safety agencies in the region before — fire services above all, police and military a close second — and can do it again without a lot of supervision.
What success looks like in the first 90 days
You know every active distributor and open deal in your territory by name. You've been in-region at least once. You've advanced at least one live tender and opened qualified conversations for a newly signed manufacturer. The forecast you give us is one we can take to our partners.
What you'll do
- Own the pipeline. Run deals end to end — qualification, site visits and demos, pricing with the manufacturer, proposal, negotiation, close, and the follow-through that gets the PO issued and the product delivered.
- Manage the dealers to a number. Recruit, activate, and manage distributors and integrators. Set a sales goal with each one, get them trained and stocked, review their pipeline with them, and hold them accountable to the goal. Grade them honestly and replace the ones that don't perform.
- Chase public tenders. Work national procurement platforms (Mercado Público in Chile and its equivalents across the region), read the bases, shape the specs before they're published, coordinate bonds and compliance documents, and submit winning bids with our distributors.
- Sell to end users. Build relationships with fire and rescue services, police and military units, and industrial safety and energy buyers. Present and demo in whatever setting the buyer needs, from a station visit to a national purchasing committee. Understand what they need and why the last purchase didn't work out.
- Be the manufacturer's voice in the region. Represent each brand accurately, give the factory a real forecast, and join the regular partner calls with a clear read on what's moving and what's stuck.
- Keep the system honest. Every deal, contact, and next step lives in our CRM. If it isn't there, it didn't happen. Your notes feed the tools that help the whole team sell.
- Travel. Expect regular trips to the region for distributor visits, end-user demos, and trade shows, plus occasional partner visits in the U.S.
Who you are
- Fluent in Spanish and English — professional or native Spanish. You can negotiate a contract, present to a procurement committee, and have a beer with a distributor, all in Spanish. Portuguese is a strong plus.
- An exceptional presenter in both languages. Virtual or in person, formal or informal, a fire chief across a desk or a procurement committee in an auditorium — you can hold the room and move it in English and in Spanish.
- 7+ years selling to public safety agencies in Latin America, with a track record you can show. Fire service experience is mandatory — you have sold to fire departments and fire brigades and you know how they buy. Law enforcement experience is a strong plus. Defense experience is helpful.
- You've done tenders. You know how public procurement works in at least one LATAM country — the platforms, the timelines, the bonds, the paperwork, and the relationships that decide outcomes before the bid opens.
- You've managed distributors to a sales goal, not just sold to them. You know the difference between a distributor who wants the line and one who will actually move it, and you've had the hard conversation when the number wasn't there.
- A network in the region you can activate in your first month.
- Comfortable on commission. You want to be paid on what you close, and you've earned that way before.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and able to travel internationally without restriction.
Nice to have
- A college degree.
- Experience with fire PPE specifically, or with ballistic and tactical equipment or unmanned systems.
- Experience representing a manufacturer as an independent rep or agent.
- Familiarity with export controls and end-user documentation for defense and dual-use products.
How we work
Small team, no bureaucracy. You'll work directly with the two co-founders and our Director of Partner Operations, who takes proposals and partner touchpoints off your plate once a deal is qualified. Our opportunity engine runs every morning and puts human-validated leads in your queue; our CRM is where the team reviews pipeline weekly. We use these tools to spend more time selling, not to replace it — and we expect you to tell us when they should work differently.
Compensation and terms
This is a commission-driven independent contractor engagement. Specific compensation and contract terms will be discussed during the hiring process.
